Buddy Walks

Small social walks with dogs from just one or two other homes provides the opportunity for your dog to enjoy some canine company and countryside adventures with well-matched friends. The perfect alternative to large, pack walks.

£15 - 1 hour

Dogs will enjoy a variety of different walks – sniffing, exploring, playtime all whilst practising their calm and responsive behaviours.

Puppy Socialisation & Care

Providing puppies with care that is appropriate for their age and development gives owners the best chance of raising a calm companion that is comfortable in a variety of different situations.

£14 - 25mins

Pre Vaccinations - puppies are visited at home and the time is used to play brain games, start basic training, introduce them to their harness and lead, play with their favourite toys and of course allow for toileting and feeding

Post Vaccinations - puppies will be able to start exploring the outside world. This is done at their pace, using lots of rewards to create a positive association with new things (bikes, cars, children in the park, other dogs). The emphasis is placed on building confidence and teaching calm behaviours (particularly around other dogs). Recall training on a long line will also start

Puppies are often described as being like little sponges – up to 14/15 weeks they are usually open to absorbing lots of new things and learning about new situations. After this stage, anything new is more likely to be met with apprehension. BUT between 8 – 11 weeks the natural fear response kicks in (fear period) – a frightening or traumatic encounter (during this time) is likely to have a more lasting impact so forced, uncomfortable interactions should be avoided.

Solo Dog Walks & Care

Booking a one to one slot means the time is used to focus on meeting your dog’s needs in the best possible way on that day.

Canine Parkour – natural agility like log hopping, putting paws up on tree stumps, learning to go around objects increases engagement and bonding through play, while allowing your dog to gather some quick wins!

Sniffaris - calm, long line walks to encourage sniffing and exploration in nature...

Enrichment Adventures – walks that allow your dog to enjoy activities that are natural and fulfilling for them such as swimming, digging, running, more sniffing...

Home Visits – the chance to rest and reset by hunkering down in the safety of your home to play brain games, enjoy some company and of course allow for toileting outside...

When a dog perceives a threat, the nervous system is activated. During the ‘fight or flight’ response the adrenal gland releases hormones. Epinephrine signals the heart to pump faster and cortisol increases sugar in the blood stream. After a surge, it can take at least 72hrs for levels to return to normal. While levels are high dogs may be more anxious, have heightened vigilance and be more reactive to small stressors.
